Inspired by Japan’s 24 micro-seasons, or sekki, the Koyomi Afternoon Tea at Six Senses Kyoto offers a delicious menu that is refreshed every two weeks to incorporate everything seasonal and fresh. Head to Sekki Restaurant for a unique dining experience that aligns with our Eat With Six Senses philosophy, featuring delicious and nutritious treats that are gluten-free and mostly free of refined sugars.
Menu highlights include fermented foods that are known to support digestive health such as local amazake cream, crafted from rice and koji (malted rice), which replaces traditional clotted cream to leave you feeling lighter and fresher. This adds an Alchemy Bar workshop to craft your own all-natural herbal ball to use when you fancy a long, luxurious hot bath. The same ingredients used in our Afternoon Tea menu can be blended with handpicked herbs from our on-site garden to create a holistic and sweet-smelling sensory experience.
