Michelle calls on an impressive and wide-ranging background of experience in the sports industry to deliver the highest level of treatment and care to Six Senses guests. Drawing on fifteen years of knowledge as a musculoskeletal clinician across multiple countries, with numerous sporting organizations including gymnastics, snow sports, football, as well as all things water sports! She is currently the lead physiotherapist for the New Zealand Olympic Surfing team. Michelle is particularly passionate about maximizing human performance – whether that is for your sport, your hobbies or even balancing a busy modern lifestyle. Michelle uses an integrated approach with guests that includes targeted manual techniques, movement, breathwork, recovery and biomechanical ‘fine tuning’ to help each guest to reach their personal goals.
Michelle is an expert in manual therapy techniques. All treatment sessions are tailored to your individual needs and can include a combination of Swedish massage, myofascial release, sports massage, deep tissue trigger point techniques, joint traction, mobilization and manipulation. Her depth of understanding of anatomy and physiology means that she can target those problematic areas to generate immediate and long lasting relief. The aim of this therapy is to correct imbalances and alleviate the stress and tension that accumulates in soft tissues.
Personal training and exercise prescription benefits all ages and levels of ability. Booking in for one or multiple sessions can make your exercise program safer, more effective, and more fun! Michelle can provide unique expertise that include biomechanical analysis and functional movement retraining to help you achieve any goal you are reaching for! If you are keen to progress your current gym program or start afresh, Michelle can support you through your sessions and motivate you to be the best you can be! Alternatively, if you just want to try something new, come along to one of Michelle’s group exercise sessions. No prior experience required.

Our parasympathetic nervous system (PNS) is our body’s natural state of relaxion where optimum cell repair and rejuvenation occurs. Learn how to switch into your PNS through a series of movements and breathing exercises, all in a deeply relaxing environment. This experience is exceptionally beneficial to all guests aiming to change the way they regulate stress responses.
High intensity interval training (HIIT) and Sports massage. HIIT is a cardio session arranged as a short burst of very hard work. This is key to boosting your endurance, increasing metabolism, regulating insulin levels and losing body fat. The session concludes with a 60- minute Sports massage!
