According to the Japanese concept of ‘shinrin-yoku’ (forest bathing), getting up close and personal with trees is believed to have beneficial effects on your physical and mental state of being. Trees release phytoncides and these airborne antimicrobial chemicals help protect them and plants against germs and insects. Japanese scientists found that inhaling phytoncides lowers stress hormones and enhances natural killer cell activity. This promotes a feeling of calm and relaxation and leads to better sleep. Immerse yourself in the lush jungle of Krabey Island and absorb the positive energy that the island radiates. There’s no WiFi in the forest but there is connection!
This forest bathing activity is led by our Wellness Practitioner. Sessions are available as part of the resort’s weekly wellness offerings and by private arrangement.
