Our experts will incorporate your current state of mind and body and your goals for your stay into a plan of treatments, activities, experiences, and meals that are based on your body type to nourish you inside and out.
Please don’t worry if you don’t have a particular wellness aim or intention. Just come as you are and your schedule can be custom-made for you following an in-depth wellness consultation with our doctors. Our core wellness offering is based on Ayurveda, Yoga, Tibetan Medicine, and Natural Healing Therapies, each supporting your individual uniqueness. See some of our other treatments and a sample weekly activity schedule below.
Your wellness journey starts with a 45-minute consultation – including a traditional pulse reading to establish dosha imbalances and a high-tech screening of 30 biomarkers – to assess your needs. From there, your doctor plans an itinerary that works best for you. This may include some of our core offerings of Ayurveda, Tibetan Healing, and Yoga, combined with other treatments, for example from Traditional Chinese Medicine, or movement-based fitness activities. A whole range of complementary a-la-carte treatments are also available for an additional charge.
Ayurveda Healing is offered alongside Traditional Chinese Medicine and Tibetan Sowa Rigpa. The four-handed Abhyanga massage blends fragrant Ayurvedic oils with artful knot kneading. The Ku Nye masseuse presses hot pods into your energy channels while chanting Sanskrit mantras. Raag therapy induces healing via time spent with a flutist. Hor Gyi Metsa works on white channels and nerve pathways. The Subtle Energies facial helps your inner beauty radiate outwards. All our powerful add-on treatments are performed by magical hands and work seamlessly to elevate your healing journey.
Drawing from our rich traditions of live music, arts, meditation, cuisine, and nature, we have created a rich weekly retreat schedule that you can enjoy as part of any stay, which preserves traditions and demonstrates their relevance in our ever-changing world.
Portions might be smaller than you are used to, but you will not go hungry. All meals are provided and prepared as per your guided nutrition and served three times a day, with afternoon tea available to break up the afternoon. Alcohol is limited to wine and beer within restaurants or the library and smoking is restricted to a single designated outdoor space only. Food, beverages, and liquor cannot be brought inside the retreat.
Ultimately, what you eat acts to nourish, heal, or harm. That’s why, while you’re here, you eat according to your body type and wellness objectives, and we also help you learn and make choices you can follow back home.
