Hues that Heal, a creative retreat with Siraj Saxena

Hues that Heal: Discover healing through art in nature’s embrace

Nature and life have many layers of colors, emotions, and senses. Depending on how we view these layers, we may treat them differently. Life is a beautiful journey filled with ups and downs.

Similarly, art is also layered with colors that reflect our senses, emotions, and thoughts. The absence of colors and emotions would make our lives incomplete. Our visual experiences are how we practice and treat colors in our everyday lives. Colors play a significant role in determining our personalities and give meaning to our identities. Through our choice of colors and the layers they contain, we give meaning and value to our lives. This visual retreat will offer the opportunity to explore colors as well as the layers of colors on canvas. As a result of applying one color over another, we can create a new color.

The goal of this retreat is to free you from the day-to-day responsibilities of your life and to experience the feeling of living in our space. Creating art allows us to connect with our inner selves. It is quite intriguing how with colors and the layers they contain, we get a glimpse into our innermost selves, for this reason, art is often termed as a healing medium.

It is an inherent ability that most of us must be creative. In other words, we are naturally able to respond to the colors on a canvas or, in other words, to our current circumstances.

The duration of the retreat is flexible between December 5 to December 12, 2024. Stays can be chosen for 5 nights and above.

December 5 - 12, 2024
