Reconnection Journeys offer a full-day Maldives experience in Laamu to discover the island's incredible ecosystems, learn about their importance, and empower you to help protect them. You will also have the opportunity to hear the stories of your fellow travelers and the locals you meet along the way.
Start the day with our team of Marine Biologists at the Maldives Underwater Initiative (MUI) for a snorkel on the house reef or seagrass meadows. In the afternoon join the MUI team for a land-based citizen science workshop where you might identify turtles with the Olive Ridley Foundation or manta rays with the Manta Trust. For sunset, board the top deck of one of our dive boats to meet the local dolphins on their daily commute. Finish the day with a BBQ on the beach where you will dine on fresh reef fish caught sustainably by the local fishermen of Laamu atoll.

Morning singing bowl meditation is the perfect way to cleanse your mind and start your day. After the meditation connect with others through sharing your experience, thoughts and emotions. Work as a team and learn from one another in our Earth Lab candle making workshop. You will create the perfect (and sustainable) gift for a special someone you wish to gift something to. In the afternoon, meet the resort’s own Boduberu band, have a go at playing the local drums and learn about the significant role this music plays in Maldivian culture. Finish the day at our Chef’s Table where you will be treated to a show of cooking and hear stories of our culinary team’s incredible experiences.
