Six Senses Samui
When you come all depends on what you would like to see and experience. In contrast to other regions in Thailand, Koh Samui is very much a year-round destination with sunny weather from December to September. Temperatures are very pleasant from the festive season to early April, before things start to warm up with higher humidity after Songkran. Even when it rains, usually limited to late afternoon from late October through November, the sun doesn't stay hidden for long. There are of course specific times for particular interests, so we've listed a few of the highlights below.
We celebrate the festive season with a tropical twist. New Year’s Eve is a colorful evening with a fun-filled gala event and special countdown to midnight. The cooler weather over these months makes it perfect for outdoor and daytime activities such as hiking, biking, and many more adventures and excursions.
Songkran, the Thai New Year, takes place in April and is celebrated across the country. Join the water splashing activities with our hosts and go out on the town for even more fun during everyone's favorite national water festival. During these warmer months, there may be occasional short showers in the afternoon. This is the best time for snorkeling, diving, and kayaking, and your best chance to spot whale sharks.
November is the wettest month. Cozy up in the spa or focus on wellness activities including rituals, yoga, and meditation, when the weather outside is less predictable.
