Approximately 5 kilometers away is the main town, bustling market, historical sites, beautiful scenery and friendly locals — why not join in with the locals and take the high road?

• Con Dao Local Life Tours

  • Discover the island and find out what authentic Con Dao daily life is really like. Travel across the island with our tour guide, through the back roads, past small dwellings and local agricultural plots. Wrap up the adventure with a taste of traditional Vietnamese coffee.

• Historical and Prison Tours

  • This tour uncovers the rich history of Con Dao and will delve into its darker side. A series of prison systems were constructed throughout 113 years of colonization, during which time many thousands of prisoners were interred here. Along the way, guests will encounter the remnants of this history, with a special visit to Con Dao’s most iconic historical sites.

• Sense Of Respect

  • Those who venture to this island do so to pay their respects to Vietnam’s fallen heroes, who now rest at Hang Duong Cemetery. Among the 2,000-plus individuals buried here, national hero Vo Thi Sau symbolizes their dedication and sacrifice. Hang Duong Cemetery now stands as not only a memorial to those who gave their lives, but also as a testament to the will and strength of the Vietnamese people.

• Clam Collecting

  • Try your hand at traditional clam collecting! At the resort’s pristine beach, designated sections are set aside year-round for clam collection and you are encouraged to explore this age-old practice. Expert guidance and tools are provided, demonstrating traditional techniques so you can locate and collect fresh clams. To preserve the clam population, one kilogram per session can be collected. It is also important to adhere to size regulations by only collecting clams measuring 2 centimeters or more. Leave 24 hours for your haul to be cleaned and prepared by our chefs before tucking in.
