Rome is a city where the clamor of modern life fills ancient streets. It’s loud, chaotic, and all the more fabulous for it. A typical day is filled with streams of locals going about their busy lives, rubbing shoulders with an endless flow of visitors zipping through an action-packed touring schedule. But luckily there is a place to hit pause: Six Senses Rome.
On the Piazza di San Marcello, location for the sublime palazzo that Six Senses Rome calls home, is a peaceful sanctuary for anyone who wishes to escape the noise for a dose of self-care. As a city central hotel, we’re proud to be deeply immersed and enmeshed with our local community and culture. That’s why we open our doors and our hearts to the local community and invite them to benefit from the state-of-the-art wellness and fitness centers at Six Senses Rome.
With a dedicated team to guide your fitness and well-being journey, you’ll always be in good hands. Fitness Supervisor and trained osteopath, Federico Brera, has created a combination of fitness and wellness programs consisting of the latest biohacks, including CellGym, EMS, Normatec boots, VenomBack vibration belt, and more, to great effect. He elaborates, “The benefits of using modern biohacking methods to enhance your training sessions and elevate your recovery are numerous. We see fantastic fitness results when we combine our biohack tools for full-body conditioning with traditional training resources.”
Federico goes on to say that, “Biohacks are fantastic time-saving devices. A 20-minute EMS session maximizes muscle contractions by around 85 percent and is the equivalent to an intensive strength training session in the gym. This means it’s easy and effective to fit an activity into your daily schedule. For best results, maximum two sessions per week with a three-to-four-day rest in-between are recommended. CellGym is intensive breath training simulating walking in a high-altitude mountain setting. A 30- or 40-minute session alternates low oxygen with high oxygen to create new mitochondria in your cells. More mitochondria equal more energy, giving you an instant reenergizing boost.”
Alongside high-octane personal training sessions, our team of experts offer soothing massages and various yoga options, and each visit to Six Senses Spa or gym includes our signature experience in the purpose-built hot and cold Roman baths. A plunge in the Frigidarium (if you dare!) leaves you tingling from head to toe and ready to take on the world.
After a session, we welcome guests into BIVIUM Restaurant-Café-Bar, our plant-bedecked, all-day dining room with an open kitchen. It’s a convivial space with a team of chefs who love to create post-workout juices, and delicious and nutritious super salads, with a mostly plant-based menu focused on the freshest seasonal and sustainable produce.
You can get in touch with our Fitness Team at the Six Senses Spa desk to book wellness bundles and packages that have been specially developed to elevate your everyday. Drop in once or twice a week to engage with our programs that aim to refresh and revitalize every fiber of your being.
