• The Didyma-Priene-Miletus Triangle

  • In ancient times Didyma was the famous site of the Temple of Apollo, where oracles revealed the future. Didyma was not a city, but a place of worship dedicated to Artemis, the twin sister of Apollo, hence the name which means “twins” in ancient Greek. Priene is considered to be the most spectacular example of an almost entirely preserved ancient city, picturesquely located on the slopes of Mykale mountain and providing a fabulous viewpoint over the plain where the river Meander winds its way to the Aegean Sea.
