When to visit
As an all-year destination, there are lots of activities and festivals to celebrate throughout the year. December to May is the driest time to visit to enjoy outdoor and daytime activities. However, the country enjoys a warm, tropical climate all year round, tempered by cooling trade winds, with average highs of 29°C to 30°C (84°F to 86°F) throughout. The average hours of sunshine don't vary a great deal throughout the year. Known as the Spicemas Festival and the most important celebration on the island, the Caribbean’s best carnival takes place over the course of two weeks in August, culminating in dancing to calypso and reggae beats.
