As seaplanes take off and land on the water, they can only operate during daylight hours, as determined by sunrise and sunset. We advise that you plan to arrive into the Maldives by 3:00 pm local time in order to be able to connect to Six Senses Laamu on the same day. You should plan for an international departure flight no earlier than 9:30 am local time when leaving the Maldives. Our seaplane transfers operate as a private charter service for our guests only and are direct to Six Senses Laamu. Exact timings will be communicated to guests upon arrival in Malé and guests can await their departure in the lounge.

Round-trip transfers between Vel­ana International Airport and Six Senses Laamu resort are by seaplane flight. The rate is USD 1,209 per adult (12 years and above) and USD 706 per child (2 to 11 years) inclusive of taxes per person. Infants under 2 years travel free of charge (provided they sit on a parent’s lap). This will be arranged and booked by the resort upon making a reservation.

Six Senses Laamu strongly recommends that all guests coordinate their international travel arrangements to fit with our new seaplane transfer service. On some occasions, your flight may stop on route to drop off and pick up passengers at other domestic airports. We will endeavor to provide you with the most direct route, subject to availability and the required connection time for your international flight or onward transfer arrangements.

The standard luggage allowance on our seaplane service is 20 kilograms per person for check-in luggage and 5 kilograms for hand luggage. It is illegal to bring alcohol and pork products into the country. Vaping devices are also not permitted. All these items will be removed at customs.

For those who use tobacco products, you may bring a personal allowance of up to 200 cigarettes, 25 cigars, or 250 g of tobacco, provided the packaging shows health warning labels. Additionally, please be aware that dogs, including assistance dogs, are not allowed to enter the country.
